Licensing

Studio Ferralasco offers two categories of digital products: premium mockup assets and experimental typefaces. Each category is governed by its own license.
By purchasing, downloading, installing or using any Studio Ferralasco product, you agree to the license terms applicable to that product.

1. Universal License for Mockups
Overview
All mockup products purchased through Studio Ferralasco are covered by the Universal License.
The Universal License grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide right to use the purchased mockup assets in personal and commercial creative projects for an unlimited period of time.
There are no project limits, client-size limits or usage-duration limits.

You May
You may use purchased mockup assets for:

  • Personal projects and self-initiated creative work.

  • Client work and commissioned design projects.

  • Branding presentations, pitch decks and case studies.

  • Advertising, marketing and social media campaigns.

  • Packaging, editorial presentations and portfolio displays.

  • Digital and physical out-of-home presentations.

  • Internal company presentations and educational materials.

  • An unlimited number of completed design projects.

    You may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, share, gift or make the source mockup files available to any third party.

  • Upload the source files to marketplaces, file-sharing websites, asset libraries or template platforms.

  • Use the mockup assets to create competing mockup products, scene creators, editable templates or downloadable design assets for resale or distribution.

  • Claim ownership or authorship of the original mockup files.

  • Use the mockup assets in a way that implies endorsement, sponsorship or partnership by Studio Ferralasco.

  • Transfer the source mockup files to a client, collaborator, contractor or other third party.

Ownership
All mockup assets remain the exclusive intellectual property of Studio Ferralasco. Purchasing a mockup grants you licensed usage rights only. It does not transfer ownership of the files or underlying creative work.

2. Typeface License for Free Downloads
Overview
Studio Ferralasco experimental typefaces are distributed as free downloadable font files, including .otf files, through Stan Store or other authorized Studio Ferralasco download channels.
These typefaces are free for personal use and non-commercial portfolio use only.
Any commercial use requires a separate written license from Studio Ferralasco before the typeface is used, published, delivered or distributed in connection with a commercial project.

You May
Without purchasing a commercial license, you may use the typefaces for:

  • Personal creative experiments.

  • Self-initiated, non-commercial design projects.

  • Student work and educational projects that are not created for a paying client or commercial organization.

  • Personal posters, typographic studies, digital artwork and motion experiments.

  • Non-commercial portfolio presentations of your own self-initiated work.

  • Social media posts showcasing your own non-commercial experiments or portfolio projects.

You may convert typed letterforms to outlines and edit those outlined letterforms within an allowed personal or non-commercial portfolio artwork.

Portfolio Use
Portfolio use means displaying your own self-initiated or educational work to demonstrate your creative abilities.
Portfolio use does not include work produced for a client, employer, business, organization, product, event, campaign or other commercial purpose, whether paid or unpaid.

Commercial Use Requires Permission
You must contact Studio Ferralasco for a separate commercial license before using any typeface in connection with:

  • Client work or commissioned work.

  • Branding, logos, wordmarks or visual identities for an active business, organization, product or service.

  • Advertising, promotional campaigns or sponsored content.

  • Packaging, merchandise, apparel or products intended for sale.

  • Business websites, commercial social media accounts or company communications.

  • Paid publications, ticketed events, commercial exhibitions or revenue-generating projects.

  • Film, broadcast, title design, music artwork or motion work produced for a commercial client or commercial release.

  • Templates, digital products, downloadable assets or editable files intended for sale or distribution.

To enquire about commercial licensing, contact hello@studioferralasco.com with a description of the intended use.

Commercial rights are not granted unless and until written permission or a separate commercial license has been issued by Studio Ferralasco.

You May Not
Under either personal, portfolio or commercial use, unless expressly authorized in writing, you may not:

  • Resell, redistribute, sublicense, gift, share or make the font files available to any third party.

  • Upload the font files to font websites, marketplaces, file-sharing platforms, asset libraries or public download pages.

  • Include the font files inside templates, apps, websites, digital products, software, editable design files or other distributable products.

  • Convert, modify, rename or adapt the typeface files for the purpose of creating or distributing a new font.

  • Claim ownership or authorship of the original typeface design or font files.

  • Use the typefaces in a way that implies endorsement, sponsorship or partnership by Studio Ferralasco.

  • Client and Collaborator Access

A typeface file may not be shared with a client, collaborator, contractor, printer, agency or other third party unless that use has been approved in writing by Studio Ferralasco or the third party has obtained the required license.

Ownership
All Studio Ferralasco typefaces, letterforms, font files, specimens and related materials remain the exclusive intellectual property of Studio Ferralasco.

Downloading a free typeface grants limited usage rights under this license only. It does not transfer ownership of the typeface or font file.

3. General License Terms
Studio Ferralasco may revoke a license where a product is used in violation of these terms.
Any rights not expressly granted in this Licensing page are reserved by Studio Ferralasco.
These licenses are governed by the laws of Canada and the Province of British Columbia.
